For groups who don't yet feel comfortable coming into the House, we're still offering the option to sponsor a meal by providing gift cards, catering a meal from a local restaurant, or making a $50 donation HERE. Create a wonderful home cooked meal for our families, right in the House kitchen. We have a fully equipped kitchen, just decide on your menu, purchase the ingredients and then prepare them in our kitchen. Dinner can be scheduled any day of the year. Prepare & Pack Lunches – Groups prepare and pack healthy sack lunches that will be taken to local hospitals and medical facilities (by others). We welcome individuals and groups on as on-call basis. Or, contact the Volunteer Manager Christine Fernandez at firstname.lastname@example.org to see if there is an open guest spot for groups.
Lunch Bag & Caring Card Decorating – Want to brighten someone's day? Then our lunch bag & caring card decorating program is for you! Visit the House to pick up some undecorated lunch bags or caring cards and a decorating guidelines sheet and start decorating OR you can purchase your own bags (MUST be a size 8/8lb bag) from local Smart and Final grocery stores or Costco Business Center. You can purchase 3x5 index cards (white or colored) at any local store with an office supplies section for the Caring Cards. For driving directions to the House, click here.
Lunch Wish List – Want to help with the Lunch Program, but can't commit regularly or feel artistic enough to decorate bags? Why not collect items from our Lunch Wish List and donate them to the Lunch is on Us! program.
If your group has availability to volunteer on the weekends, why not make breakfast for our families in the House kitchen and help clean the House? Up to 10 people can prepare breakfast while another 10 can help around the House. Your group will provide the food, then prepare and serve it in our well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast should be served by 9:30am. Maximum group size is 20 for this activity. For further details and to sign up head to our Weekend Breakfast page.
Do you have a wonderful cookie or brownie recipe that you’d like to share? Come to the House and prepare your special recipe for our families. This activity is great for small groups, of up to 5 and can be scheduled on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday beginning at 11:30am until 2:30pm. Youth groups must be supervised by an adult. Sorry we cannot accept food that has been made in an offsite kitchen. For more information click here.
Interested in helping with our Special Events? Tasks may include event set-up and tear-down, registering & greeting participants, passing out event materials, serving food & beverages, selling raffle tickets, loading & unloading supplies, running errands, etc. Specific tasks will vary depending on event. Email email@example.com to place your name on our list of Special Event volunteers.
Collect the pull tabs from aluminum cans and containers and donate them to the Ronald McDonald House®. The tabs are made of a high-grade aluminum which we recycle - the proceeds then go directly to help families staying at the House. The program runs all year long and collected tabs may be dropped off at the Ronald McDonald House® any day from 9am-9pm. We couldn’t fulfill our mission without the support of the Las Vegas business community. Companies who donate their product or services to the House and fundraising events are critical to our success.
We also look for opportunities for our families to get away from the hospital or to entertain siblings. Tickets to shows or amusement attractions and special services such as massages, salon services, family photography sessions, or fitness passes are greatly appreciated.
