The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day functional and administrative operations of 2 major RMHC programs, including the Ronald McDonald Family Room and RMHC Scholarship Program. The Program Coordinator is a part time non-exempt employee (24 hours per week) that reports directly to the Director of Operations. This position will start off part-time with the expectation in the future of going full-time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes an atmosphere of warmth, understanding, and compliance with compassion; Maintains supportive and open communications with families
Assists in the facilitation of the Ronald McDonald Family Room and Scholarship programs.
Ensures RMHC licensing and standard operating procedures are being met
Assists in the scheduling and distributing materials for Program committees.
Directly manages the Ronald McDonald Family Room inventory, clientele (families), program partners, and statistics
Coordinates relationships with program partners, administrators, and recipients
Responsible for the administrative operation of programs, including program(s) assessment, suggestions to improve efficiencies, and implementation of changes
Responsible for advanced guest relations, including dealing with challenging guests, assisting in obtaining support services, etc. for the Family Room program
Assists and acts as a liaison in the coordination of relationships with medical facility social workers and other medical professionals
Obtains estimates and service for office equipment, printing, repairs and other projects for Family Room; Manages and implements programs that contribute to the therapeutic environment of the Family Room,
Conducts analysis of unmet needs in target populations
Creates and implements programs to meet the unmet needs in target populations
Builds partnerships with community organizations
Creates and maintains all policy and procedure manuals related to the position
Works closely with database staff to oversee Family Room Stay/Occupancy statistics, including monthly data reports, as needed by staff
Reports to the Director of Operations or executive staff any atypical circumstances
Represents Chapter/House to various audiences in professional manner consistent with image and mission of this organization
Will assist with other Ronald McDonald House programs such as Ronald McDonald House and Care Mobile.
Accepts in-kind and monetary donations made during shift and completes necessary paperwork
Any other tasks, duties, or responsibilities as assigned
Enforces rules and policies of the Organization and its programs
Works with Executive Staff to review and recommend improved policies and procedures
Works closely with Executive Staff in developing annual program budgets
Responsible for managing crisis situations, emergencies, or other urgent matters
Assists in the preparation of statistical reports required by federal, state, city and other agencies as instructed by the Executive Staff and/or Board of Directors
Assists in ensuring all partner organization’s compliance standards are being met
Attends relevant committee meetings
Provides first impression of RMHC for families, volunteers, donors and other visitors
Assists executive staff with preparation and facilitation of Board and committee meetings
Enforces rules and policies of RMHC
Manages adequate supplies in support of RMHC programs
