LAS VEGAS, Nevada (June 7, 2016) – Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Las Vegas, and local community partners gathered for a day of golf, sun and fun on Friday, June 3rd at the inaugural Rock the Socks Golf Classic Benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, raising $30,000 in support of RMHC and the families they serve.

More than 100 golfers from the Las Vegas community braved the heat and hit the links on Friday, June 3, 2016 for 18 holes at the beautiful Bear’s Best Las Vegas. Attendees enjoyed a continental breakfast, games and contests, a hosted beverage cart, photos with Ronald McDonald, a fabulous raffle, and an awards luncheon! Rock the Socks Golf Classic 2016 was made possible by our community sponsors including Dura-Kool, The Maddux Foundation, Boyd Gaming, Lexus of Las Vegas and Countrywide Estate Planning.

All Proceeds from Rock the Socks Golf Classic benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides temporary housing for families who travel to Las Vegas to receive critical medical treatment for their children. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas also supports programs that directly benefit children and families in the Las Vegas area through scholarships, community outreach projects, and the recently opened Ronald McDonald Family Room at Sunrise Children’s Hospital.
