Las Vegas, NV May 3, 2017 – Runnin’ for the House 5K Run and Family Fun Walk, presented by McDonald’s of Greater Las Vegas, raised more than $57,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas. Steph Mackenzie from 97.1 The Point, Ronald McDonald, and Carrot Top led more than 1,000 runners and walkers in warm up exercises to start the morning off. Participants also enjoyed a McDonald’s pancake breakfast, kids activity zone, and awards. Together, the local community made a difference for families by Runnin’ for the House on Saturday, April 29th.
NV Energy led the way as our top fundraising team, bringing in funds from more than 80 different donors. Southwest Medical Part of Optum Care returned with the largest running team. Lexus of Las Vegas provided a beautifu SUV to lead runners around the course. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a dental care unit, was open for tours and dental services. participants also enjoyed face painting and other activities throughout the morning.
